Pack 1191 gives boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade a place to make friends, try new things, and grow in confidence—right here in Mount Airy.
Email Pack1191info@gmail.com with your name and your child’s grade. We’ll help you choose a meeting to visit and confirm when to arrive, where to go, and what to expect.
Scouts build, hike, camp, race Pinewood Derby cars, and serve their community. Along the way, they practice teamwork, take responsibility, and build the confidence to lead.
We generally meet on Sunday afternoons at American Legion Post 191, 801 Prospect Road, Mount Airy, MD. A typical month includes two age-group (den) meetings and one whole-pack meeting. Times vary; some outings meet elsewhere.
Annual youth registration: $165 ($85 Scouting America + $80 NCAC Council Participation Fee).
Optional Scout Life magazine: $15 per year; $180 total with the subscription.
Uniforms, handbooks, and some activities may involve separate costs. Financial support is available; contact the Cubmaster or Committee Chair privately. See Family Hub for the fee breakdown and NCAC’s current joining information.
Parents attend and participate with Lions and Tigers, and family participation is encouraged throughout the program. We’ll help you find a way to contribute that fits your interests and availability.
